As the weather gets cooler, fall hair color trends are warming up! Fashion typically trends towards darker and richer colors this time of year (think jewel tones rather than Summer’s mellow yellows, and earthy nudes) and this year is no exception! What hair colors, cuts and styles do we predict you will be seeing a lot of this Fall?
COLOR
COPPER IS STILL KING & BROWNS ARE GETTING MORE TEMPTING
Shades of red are still trending and now they are moving more towards the warm copper tones.
Browns are also warming up with caramel highlights on top of perfect shade of chocolate.
BOLD COLORS ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE
Fashion colors have been trending for several years now, but we are seeing a punk influence that combines bright hair with barely there eyebrows.
EMBRACE THE GRAY
Gray is getting more interesting and dramatic this season with layers that accentuates your gray grow in and lowlights to add dimension and depth once you are all gray. Adding lowlights gives your hair a pop of color that makes the gray shine and brings life to your skin tone.
TWEED BLONDE
One head of hair with many shades of blonde creates a visually interesting look, whether worn down or up, sleek, or textured. These different shades are all subtle creating lots of depth and dimension.
CUTS
What about cuts? There is something for every length—- it all depends on what looks best on you and expresses your personal style. Here is a preview of what we will be seeing this Fall from our favorite trend setters:
LAYERS
Medium length hair with interesting layers that can be adapted to the face shape. We are seeing the return of Jennifer Anniston’s famous Rachel cut from Friends. It all depends on the shape of your face-it might have short bangs or face faming tendrils.
BOTTLENECK BANGS
What is this trend? Shorter length bangs that curve above your eyes and get longer on the sides. So short at the top, narrowing on the sides and then curves around the cheekbones.
CURTAIN CUT BOBS & STACKED BOBS
Mid-length bobs that are parted in the middle, generally styled straight and sleek to bring a nice long symmetrical frame to the face. Stacked bobs that create a strong horizontal line are often made very dramatic when paired with short bangs.
SHAGS & WOLF CUTS
A combination of the shag and a mullet that has chunky heavy layers on the top and wispy ends. It’s versatile and can be worn by different textures of hair.
STYLES
Big Bouncy Blow Outs (think Adele on cover of Vogue.) Luxurious big hair that uses rollers and volumizing products to achieve the look.
Sleek Buns and Ponytails in all variations! We saw lots of them on the runways
Polished versions of beachy waves—more natural texture coming through and, in some cases, still parted in the middle.
