Mango at Greengate is unparalleled.I got married last weekend and my 98 year old grandma wanted her hair done for the rehearsal dinner. When her appointment was last minute cancelled at another salon in downtown Richmond, Mango took us for an appointment on Friday afternoon. The patience, kindness, compassion and overall attitude that everyone there gave me and my grandma during her appointment was absolutely out of this world. Mariah washed and shampooed her hair like it was her own grandmother's, asking regularly about her comfort level and temperature. She was patient with her as my grandma continued to sit up mid wash and even made sure she stayed dry.Stephanie took our very vague idea and brought the vision to life with my grandma's very delicately fine hair. After my grandma completely changed the part, Stephanie didn't hesitate to continue styling her hair exactly how she wanted. And it looked amazing.The manager there and guy at the front desk (I'm sorry your names escape me !!) were so very kind and welcoming to us. You all treated her like she was your own family and for that I am very thankful.All she could talk about was how great her hair looked and so did everyone else. It was amazing. Simple, sophisticated, and lovely - just to match her.Excellent service deserves to be recognized. Thank you for going above and beyond.

I've been seeing Evelyn at Greengate location for close to 2 years now and can't say enough great things about her. She always takes great care of me and my hair! Would highly recommend for her wonderful personality and amazing skill. Can also say that everyone I have encountered at this location has shown the utmost professionalism and care in my encounters, from front desk to ladies doing a shampoo. It is a wonderful atmosphere and I am happy to have them around the corner.

I've been a loyal costumer at Mango Salon for almost 6 years, and I always got the best service every time. However when they booked me with EVELYN the first time I was not happy during and after.. the first things she told me when I sat on the chair "its going to be bla bla cost" I was Shocked!! I don't know if that is a new system, but diffidently it was not polite! its the front desk job, specially that I already mentioned to her that its not my first time here and I've been a costumer for years now and that she can find the color they use for my roots on their files! I Felt uncomfortable. Then during the hair process she won't listen, I had to repeat and repeat how I want my hair done.. she gave me that look and I could feel her negative vibes all the time! She did good on the roots but diffidently not on the color neither the blow dry. And on top of that her attitude!!!!!! I thought maybe she is having a bad day, so I swallowed it. A few months later I called to make an appointment and unfortunately she was the only one available on that day. I said to my self" lets give it another try and I will make sure to be extra friendly, BUT that also did't work !! the same scenario happened " doesn't listen, attitude, stubborn, and on top of that she was rushing and in a hurry!! when I said please use the round brush to blow my hair she didn't like it! when I said I don't want you to use spray on my hair she gave me a look! when I said last time my hair was frizzy and not as bouncy as I expected it, she replied " thats the best I can do"! OMG REALLY? AT A PROFESSIONAL HAIR SALON THAT IS HOW YOU REPLY TO A LOYEL COSTUMER?!!!! You really need to work on your communication skills and treat customers with respect.I am an artist so I know how the hair should be done and we own a cigar lounge and I know what costumers expect from us... Not too hard just be polite and know that people are smart and have dignity.Long story short I ended up going home with a dry, frizzy, broom looking hair and the first thing I did take a shower. 10 days later my white hair started to show and I realized that the hair cut was not even! Horrible!!!On one of my previous visits I wasn't happy with how CLAIRE blew dry my hair but at least she was extremely polite, thats why I didn't write a review. I could tell that she lacks experience and with time she will get better.HENRIKYLEAnd previous designers that no longer work at Mango are extremely professional and I was always a happy costumer.Please make sure to have EVELYN improve her communication skills and to meet her level 4 requirements.Thank you

Mango is a great place to go! The stylist I highly recommend is Stephanie. She is not only amazing at the job she does, but is also friendly and welcoming. She always meets my expectations giving me a fantastic haircut, beard, and mustache trim. If you're in need of a great cut see Stephanie at Mango.

I had my hair done by Stephanie. She was amazing and professional!! She was very thorough with explaining the process and making sure I was comfortable with what I wanted. She was very social and kind but also professional. My balayage was even and light! My hair and the end was beautiful, even, and silky smooth! I got so many compliments and so many people wanted to come see her. I will definitely be back!

Claire did an amazing job with my super fine dry hair. This could be the best hair color I have EVER had. She took time in the beginning to learn about my concerns and get style ideas. She took time cutting , so that we could decide how short to go. The colors she layered made my hair look sooo natural! I would recommend Claire, anytime. She was a professional who listened and then more than delivered! Thank you, Claire
